MARY BLACK & TEDDY GRAMZ NEW SONG PARTY LOVE
Posted by in News
Mary Black is an Indigenous artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mary has followed her family's footsteps into the artists' community and has been an active performer since the delicate age of 9 years old. Mary began her career as an actress, and has performed many roles in theatre, film and radio, and made her transition from and actress to a musician last year. Mary Black has two very creative and skilled children. Mary focuses her performances on events and ceremonies, and has appeared as a backup singer for Buffy St. Marie in the Aboriginal People's Choice Music Awards ceremony, "No Stone Unturned" Concert/Vigil for Missing and Murdered Indigenous women, "Summer Music Festival", "The Golden Ball", and "LANDMARK EVENTS SHOWCASE". Mary Black focuses on incorporating education and history in her music and is excited to be building her projects for the upcoming year. She will be appearing at "We Walk Canada", "No Stone Unturned", Canadian Urban Television HipHop Awards and Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards - as well as being an active member in her community, she works with Ma Mawi, Bear Clan Patrol and Drag the Red. Mary Black hopes to bring awareness to the issues that stem from poverty in the inner city through music and performance.
